This weekend I had the privilege of attending the Notre Dame/Michigan football game held in South Bend, IN. I spent the day with a group of 5 men, without getting your perverted tail feathers in a tuff...let me tell you they ranged in age from 60 to 83. It was a fine Saturday with a chill in the air that lets you know football season and thus....FALL....is upon us. Once separating from the group to do a little sightseeing of my own, I found myself walking behind 3 dudes on their way to the stadium, all Michigan fans on Fighting Irish turf. I started eavesdroping (not afraid to admit it) on their conversation, well mainly just a monologue, and it went a little something like this:
Cute Dude with a jock/surfer kinda swagger/accent talking to 2 buddies...
"Aw man, we parked the car and asked some girl how to get to (insert menial friend's name here)'s tailgate at (such and such name) parking lot. She was real friendly and told us we had about a mile walk and make sure to pass by the lake and then it would be soon after. Then, she shook all of our hands and was really smiley and told us to enjoy the game and how she hoped we had a nice time while we were here. Super friendly. We get to where she said and can't find "Menial Friend" anywhere. So we ask another person and they tell us that parking lot was actually 2 miles in the direction we just came from...can you believe that shit??"
After some discussion with others, this kinda thing apparently happens on game days everywhere and often.
Let this be a PSA...don't be ugly, just be a fan.
