Ok...to get to the point already. On Sunday...I was the worst, the worst, I have ever been. Nauseous and dizzy all day...no lie. I was on a couch watching Teevs pretty much the whole day. Got quality time w/that...even found a new show I'm gonna watch, "Fringe" w/Joshua Jackson...comes on on Tuesday, I highly recommend it. But yea...according to K...my downfall, and the reason I became so sick, was all due to the fact that I had a creamy drink...the Bailey's. Whatevs. So a tip for future reference...don't mix the types of drinks you have. That'll do.

Bailey's from a shoe
Another story from this weekend...Saturday night, K and I went out. Just a regular DT night in Athens. We were both lookin' good if I say so myself. We're out doing our thing, run into some ppl, meet some new ppl. K lost her phone at one point even...but don't worry some chick found it and called practically everyone in her phone, even her boss, at like 1:00-1:30 in the morning. So yea...then we headed to this new Irish pub off College Ave. Pretty cool place...and in the spirit of the location....I order a Bailey's on ice.

I just wanted to shop...
So, over the weekend I went to Kroger to get a few things w/a friend. We're shopping over by the frozen/dairy aisle...when all of a sudden this chick walks up and starts talking to me, she's all nervous, fidgety, and having a hard time getting it out (That's what she said). Apparently she had just finished praying w/a group of friends (literally...in the aisle) and God told her to come talk to me. He told her to tell me that I'm beautiful and that she should invite me to a Mary-Kay party this coming Tuesday.
Now I'm not in any way mocking or criticizing religion or praying...BUT...it was one of the weirdest experiences of my life. And of course the friend I was with decided to conveniently leave right after the chick started talking and "get something", leaving me to fend for myself.

Already Off the Wagon
I know...I know. I've already missed a day. I was busy yesterday. But you know what...I've been cooking/assisting in cooking a lot of meals lately. You almost forget how enjoyable it can be when you've created a dish that's sooo good from your two bare hands. This week's best dish was from my friend K...a pasta dish consisting of:
-italian sausage
-corkscrew pasta
-mushrooms
-spinach
-fancy cheese spread, preferably w/a (black) pepper flavoring
Boil/cook pasta, drain and keep to side. Cook sausage separately and then cut into 1/2 inch coins. sauté mushrooms and let spinach cook on top of mushrooms till wilted. Add everything together in large bowl while still hot and voila!! One of the best and quickest things. Dee-lish!

It's So Good Once It Hits Your Lips
After YEARS of being a Diet Coke addict...I have decided to try and quit. The amount of consumption was too much...it's not important that you have an actual number, just know it was unnecessary. Trying to stop is a rough process.
-At Work: the hardest place to kick the habit...it gets boring drinking water, I don't really like the coffee....I need the caffeine, it's there...things happen.
-At Home: trying to stick w/tea and water but the occasional can or 2 slips in...but i don't even enjoy it b/c that refrigerator doesn't keep the drink at the perfect temp and if it's not at the perfect temp, it's almost like a waste to drink it.
-At K's place: she doesn't drink diet coke...so no prob there, I stick to water kicked up a notch w/some Crystal Light and other various drinks I purchase at the weekly grocery trip
-Out to eat: i'd rather pay free than the $2 it's been costing lately...so money issues nips that in the bud
I will leave you w/my favorite commercial for Diet Coke that doubly serves as an homage to my drink.

Hello Lover...
Sooo....I haven't blogged in aboooouuuut....7 months. But, I thought I might give it a go again. No promises or statements on how long this shall continue, so we'll just have to see. For my first blog back I would just like to say that I have a crush.
For those of you who know me well, you might be saying, "Who don't you have a crush on?". And that's all fine and true...whatevs...my current athletic crush is on Peyton Manning (QB of the Colts). I just keep seeing that Oreo commercial w/him and his brother vs. The Williams sisters and think he's hilariously cute.

Thanks to Melissa, who captured them on video, you guys can now see how me and friends like to get down, with dancing that is. The second video actually has Officer Drew in it too (my b-day stripper), so you guys enjoy and thanks again to Melissa. These videos are just hilarious.

It's Game Time
To quasi-quote my sister...there is something that I almost never reveal about myself at first meet, I don't know if I should tell you, but I am willing to let you guys know...I love boardgames. They are addictive, competitive, insane, wonderful...they are a lover and a friend. What amazes me is the emotions they bring out in some ppl.
Por ejemplo, one time when playing an intense game of Celeb Taboo...a friend became so upset that they yelled something to the effect of "You guys are B!%&#*$ and have sand in your vaginas!!", then promptly ran into their room and slammed the door behind them. I have often found myself deeply involved in many a Monopoly game (or any other game really) where I have just felt intense hatred for another person that I feel the need to tell them repeatedly. Just last night while playing Settlers of Catan...I refused to talk to Melissa for half of one game and almost all of another b/c she had done some (what I felt were) nasty things to sabotage what I had planned on doing.
Boardgames also unlock insight to how a person really is. Are you a cheater? A poor loser? Modest winner? A rule stickler mayhaps? My roommate Melissa and I are definitely some rule sticklers...if you don't go by the rules, what's the point in playing the game? Buuuut.....that's just how we feel. She or I will correct something even if it hurts our own team. You could say I am a game-aholic...and I guess that's okay, I'm not gonna deny it.
My Top 3 Fave Games Right Now:
1. Settlers of Catan
2. Cranium...new and old
3. A close tie b/t Monop and Scrabble (Scrabulous too)
HOWever...I have not yet reached the point of LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing)...where you are the game and act it out, complete with costumes and weapons. Here is one of my favorite clips of LARPing...I literally cried laughing the first time cause I didn't know this kind of thing existed. Enjoy!

Never Go Unprotected
I had a class about a year ago and made quick friends w/this one girl named *Wilma (name changed to protect confidentiality). She was very friendly and outgoing, but we never really talked about anything more than like...what was in the paper and the class that we were taking. Well, one day we were walking out of class and just stood outside chit-chatting when somehow we got on the topic of the HPV vaccine. I guess Wilma decided that we were better friends than we were, when she reveals 2 secrets about herself...1) she enjoyed smoking bowls at her apt and 2) she had gotten HPV from a one-night stand. Aye-yie-yie.
Then, my mind thinks back to Charlotte on "Sex & the City" when she contracted crabs from the young man in the Hamptons...just goes to show STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections is actually the newest, updated, proper term) show no discrimination...even against the rich.
And you know what's really horrible?...I have heard several instances from friends and I think it was even on an episode of Oprah...when a woman (or man) has been married or in a committed relationship for quite some time and all of a sudden they find they have an STI when they go for a routine lady doctor's visit. What does this mean? They're boyfriend/husband has been fooling around on them and contracted something, passing it on to their unknowing and unsuspecting partner. What a way to find out. Ugh, horrible and despicable.
These infections run a muck and you should really protect yourself, so I have provided you with a very informational website of pictures so that you can rule out any of these infections.
Ppl...wrap ur packages and be careful whom you choose to associate w/.

This isn't really related...but...it's a hilarious video from "Wonder Showzen" in their segment called Beat Kids. This little boy is my favorite b/c he is too funny...Enjoy Hunnybunches!

Oh No You Dit-int
Being on campus today made me realize that Athens is in serious need of fashion police. Not to say that I am in any way perfect in my choice of dress, but I like to think that my clothing choices are average and in no way loud, ridiculous, of flat out fug. However, I cannot say the same for my fellow femmes at UGA.
Let's talk about one fashion item...Ugg boots or anything similar to them. Since I hear they are really warm, the only time I would say they are appropriate is under jeans, where you can't see them...otherwise it's just uncalled for. And I kno everyone has noticed girls wearing mini-skirts or shorts with Uggs....I saw a girl today and literally had to do a double take cause I thought she was walking a tiny dog...turns out, it was just really furry boots...and she wasn't wearing apple-bottom jeans (Flo Rida reference).
The one outfit that really caught my eye today was a young lady waiting at the bus stop. I think she was trying to come off unique and it just took a wrong turn somewhere. I'm about 99.9% positive that it wasn't for class or anything, considering it's only the 4th day. The ensemble was comprised of a white frilly shirt, kind of like something Bo-Peep would wear. She paired it with this pink and black plaid skirt with 2 lines of ribbon around the bottom and double layers of frill as well. Then, she wore these tall-tight black combat boots. I just really wish that I had a camera...buuuut...since I didn't, I decided to draw you guys a pretty spot on picture. The only thing that might be a little exaggerated is the color of her hair...it was a darker red.

Love & Marriage?...Like a horse & carriage
If you haven't read facebook for like the past few months, shame on you...cause if you had, then you would know that I was in fact...married. If it ain't on facebook....it ain't official. Newho...she is the love of my life, and yes I said she. I'm gonna do my own version of The Knot (if you've been under a rock...it's a wedding website w/all kinds of info and the couple can create their own little page about them and the wedding) to give everyone a better idea of our relationship.
about us
ABOUT STEPHANIE
Stephanie is a quick-witted and kind-hearted soul. She is going to graduate from UGA this May and go on to be an elementary school teacher that all the children will just adore. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, making lovely cards, drinking diet coke, going to concerts, and much more. She is excited about being married.
ABOUT MINDY
I am also about to graduate from UGA in May with a Psychology degree, and I plan on going to graduate school to become who knows what. I love my family and friends, watching movies, reading, and driving around with the windows down. I am ecstatic about being married and am so glad I found the one at such a young age.
HOW WE MET
We met through a mutual friend who was in our sorority, started sitting together at chapters, and the rest was history.

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED & MARRIED
October 26, 2007
HOW IT HAPPENED
I never thought I would marry a woman, but after getting to know Stephanie, I knew that I had found my perfect catch. For GA-FL weekend, a bunch of us friends all met in Jacksonsville where we stayed at a friend's brother's house. The night before the football game, we all had this party and at one point were playing beer pong. While playing, she was just such so encouraging and motivating and kind that I just knew I had to propose right then and there. I asked her if she would marry me, she said yes, and from then on we were wifey and wifey. However, we have decided to also have an open sort of marriage, considering she has a boyf and I am looking. But, no matter what we'll have each other and our love. :)

Future of Hmmskies...
I'm sitting here trying to think of what to blog about and I realized that I just have so many ideas running through my head that I feel uninspired to write about any of them. I don't want to lead you readers astray, please stick with me. So for today, I think I'm just going to write about the upcoming topics you can look forward to in order to get a better vision of what I want to put out there exactly:
-butt slapping
-game nights and the competitiveness of it all
-having a boyfriend, vague topic that should be discussed
-Whit* (name changed for anonymity purposes), the maintenance man
-centaurs, my favorite mythical creature
-hair, specifically on the head...that's on the very top of your body
-French music
-my Psych class that is quite literally, group therapy
I am really excited about these subjects and you guys should be too. Tomorrow's Hump Day, so get it on.

First day back to classes is always bittersweet...I hate getting back into the routine, and yet I love the structure and various traditions that I have with myself (getting Jittery Joe's, reading the Red & Black, seeing friends). And today I realized that this will be my last first day as an undergrad...a very upsetting thought since I am totally not ready. One thing I will actually miss is riding on a cramped Orbit or East Campus Express bus and all that happens when doing so. Like this morning, I hopped on an ECX and over the intercom, the middle-aged lady who was driving said this,
"Okay guys, we have three more ppl to fit behind the line and I have a 'No Man Left Behind' Policy! I don't pull out unless everyone is cheerfully secured."
What made this comment funny was not necessarily what she said, but it was the fact that she said it purposely to be funny and it just wasn't.
Neway...Stephanie and Jonathan (my "wife" and her boyfriend) came over and hung out while we watched the National Championship game. Well, they introduced me to a little treasure that I wanted to share with you all....maybe you've seen it, but oh well. I gotta go to sleep now cause apparently I have class at 8:00 AM.

Snoop D-O-Double G
Since it's Friday night...I'll write about something a little steamy...seduction...sensual seduction at that.
Of course I'm talking about Snoop Dogg's...Snoop-a-loop!! (Old School Reference)...new single "Sensual Seduction" (censored version - real version is called "Sexual Eruption", either way is okay w/me)...if you haven't heard it, it's fAAAbulous and my new favorite song. And if I thought the song itself was good...the music video is even better. It's this retro throw back of greatness so when watching the video (which of course I have included), don't be thrown off by it's weird blurry look. I just wanted to share this with all of you so you can be up to date on what I am listening to. Plus, it's supposed to make you relax and not think about those back-to-school jitters...lmao...j/k, so lame. Just enjoy and I'll talk to you on Monday.

Welcome Back
I see that either a lot of ppl have been visiting or just the same ppl have been visiting the blog several times...in either case, I'm back. Sry for the delay, I've been busy my hunnybunches...traveling back and forth to Athens, trying to get back some sleep that I have been lacking, and hanging out w/ppl. So, let's get it on...
First off...I hope everyone's holiday was mirabulous.
Second off...Congratulations to the Bulldawgs kickin' ass w/their Sugar Bowl win...take that Colt Brennan, you got lei'd alright.
Third off...I watched the "Walker, Texas Ranger" series finale last night...uh-may-zing. After seeing little snippets on Conan O'Brien...watching it for 2 full hours was just awesome, words cannot even describe. The writing was flawless (including a flashback storyline that interweaved with the present day storyline, showing the roots of Texas rangering), the acting - impeccable, the stunts and special effects were naturally believable, and...of course, Chuck Norris was himself = handsome, debonair, and the ultimate definition of a man w/THE roundhouse kick.
Spider Monkey
Actual Clip from the Show
Fourth off...New Year's Resolutions:
-Graduate w/straight A's this semester
-Find all the cement Bulldawg statues around Athens and document them w/a camera
-Get pictures on my camera cards developed
-Read all the Harry Potters
-Become a better golfer...get it down to 90 (I'm pretty bad, so, I won't tell you my other scores)
-Come up w/an exceptional pseudo-name to use while being an escort (only the classiest form of prostitution) if this whole degree-leading me to a-job route doesn't work out.
